Overview

Digital March is a tense, high-stakes tactical strategy game blending classic tabletop grid survival with retro digital aesthetics. Set against a backdrop of dark medieval pixel art and 90s anime OVA-inspired atmosphere, you command the last line of defense as the King. Surrounded on all sides by advancing enemy forces, your survival hinges on tactical positioning, spatial resource management, and sheer desperation.

Core Gameplay Mechanics

• The King’s Stand: You directly control the player King on a grid-based battlefield. Navigate carefully, manage your spacing, and stay one step ahead of a relentless enemy AI designed to hunt you down.
• Aggressive AI & Routing: Enemies feature advanced state behaviors. They will actively seek out and close in on the King's position, but as the tide of battle shifts or casualties mount, they can trigger a routing panic state, breaking formation to flee toward the map boundaries.
• The Dual Lose Conditions: Defeat comes in two forms:
  1. The Fall: Direct contact or capture of the King by enemy forces.
  2. The Lockout: A complete tactical deadlock where the King is entirely immobilized, and options to summon vital land tiles or monsters have been completely exhausted.

Visual & Art Direction

• Aesthetic: A moody, high-contrast visual style channeling 90s PC tactical games and dark fantasy cel-shaded anime OVAs.
• Color Palette: Dominated by deep burgundies, slate grays, and charcoal darks, contrasted sharply with glowing golden tactical interfaces, grid lines, and subtle tarot-inspired iconography.
